The Mercoin Corporate Site Privacy Policy (the “Policy”) applies to information collected from users through the Mercoin corporate site (https://about.mercoin.com/; the “Site”) that is managed and operated by Mercoin, Inc. (“Mercoin”).

Mercoin employees who are engaged in work that involves managing/using the information we collect from our users manage this information strictly and handle it carefully in order to prevent unauthorized access, loss, leakage, falsification, etc. of personal information. Mercoin collects the information defined in section 1 above for the following purposes.
Mercoin will provide Collected Information to third parties in the following cases.
Additionally, Mercoin may provide Collected Information in cases where it has been deemed necessary to do so, after obtaining user consent.
Mercoin may entrust the handling of Collected Information, in part or in full, to a third-party contractor, as is necessary to achieve the purposes defined in section 3 above. In such cases, Mercoin will thoroughly vet the contractor in order to make sure that they meet the standards defined by Mercari, and contractually guarantee the proper handling of Collected Information.
Mercoin shares Collected Information with the other entities of Mercari Group in order to achieve the purposes defined in section 3 above.
Users are able to change their setting to not accept cookies; many web browsers will automatically accept cookies for users, but this setting can be changed to block cookies.

Mercoin works diligently to safely manage Collected Information and prevent unauthorized access, loss, erasure, falsification, and leakage.
Mercoin improves and updates this Policy as needed. This Policy is subject to amendment in order to respond to changes in laws or if it is deemed necessary for the business. Please be sure to check the most recent version of this Policy before using the Site.
Users whose data is retained by Mercoin (“retained personal data” as defined by the Act on the Protection of Personal Information) may request that their data be disclosed (including disclosure of records stating to which third parties their data has been shared); edited, added to, deleted, or erased. They may also request that its use or provision to third parties be suspended. Mercoin will respond to these requests in an appropriate manner and in accordance with the law. If a user requests that their data retained by Mercoin be disclosed, Mercoin will respond following protocols specified separately. Information may not be disclosed in the following cases.
If as a result of disclosure the user determines that the content of the retained personal data is not factual, the user may request that the information be corrected, amended, or deleted following protocols specified separately by Mercoin. In such cases, and as is necessary to achieve the purposes of use (defined in section 3 of this Policy), Mercoin will conduct a prompt investigation and, based on the results, correct, amend, or delete the retained personal data in question.
Also, according to protocols specified separately by Mercoin, users may also request that the use of their data be suspended, that their data be erased, or that the provision of it to third parties be suspended. In those cases, Mercoin will conduct an immediate investigation. If the result of the investigation finds reasonable grounds for the user's request, for example if the Group is found to have inappropriately handled the data, Mercoin will suspend usage of the data, delete it, or suspend provision of it to third parties to the extent necessary to protect the user's rights and interests. However, Mercoin may not be able to respond to a request if the request method is insufficient, if there is no reasonable basis for the request, or if certain laws and regulations make responding to a request not feasible.
Furthermore, if the disclosure of personal data retained by Mercoin or records of provision to third parties is requested by a user, according to protocols specified separately by Mercoin, an administrative fee may be collected from the user.
